Why should this be listed?

Lyme Green Settlement Trustees intend to sell land and buildings to raise grants for people in the Armed Forces.
- The bowling green is a centre where local people with a common interest in bowling meet and participate in the same. This activity promotes social interaction, physical and mental well-being.
- Whilst competitive with the leagues games and competitions which are usually undertaken on a Tuesday and Thursday, there are also in total 17 ‘in house’ competitions and three nights there is social bowling. The green is utilised Monday – Friday most weeks, with Saturday as well as ten of the ‘in house’ comps are held on a Saturday. Members can in fact go on a Sunday and any other time when not in ‘official use’ to practice.
